About

Firenze Teatro Verdi WP

A new ORT commission inaugurates the concert conducted by Balázs Kocsár, a leading figure on the Hungarian music scene, active in opera houses and concert halls throughout Europe. The piece, still unpublished, is commissioned to Paolo Catenaccio, an Italian composer born in 1998, author of refined and clear music, often in dialogue with solo instruments and classical structures.

Paolo Catenaccio commission, Grande Danse for cello and orchestra, will be performed by Alexey Stadler, a Russian soloist of profound sensitivity, trained by Rostropovich and already acclaimed alongside Gergiev, Eschenbach, and Currentzis.
