Sandra Scurani

I was born in Milan. Ever since I was a child, music has always been present in my daily life, in a very spontaneous way. My family were passionate music lovers, with an innate curiosity and a desire to learn more, not only through daily listening, but also by attending concerts and cultural events. Playing an instrument was part of my education, so the transition to studying the piano at the Conservatory was a natural choice to give shape to my passion for music.

I attended the Milan Conservatory as a boarding student, obtained my high school diploma in music, with top marks, and graduated in piano at the ‘Luca Marenzio’ Conservatory in Brescia, to follow my teacher, Anita Porrini. I took specialisation courses in piano duos. I taught for several years. I became interested in Music Therapy and integrated the knowledge I acquired into my teaching method for children, adults and amateurs. Over the years I have often worked closely with artists from other disciplines and cultivated the relationship between different artistic manifestations and music.

In 2017 I founded Salotto in Prova. Established as an association, since 2022 it has been operating as an independent art studio. The core of the work is mainly oriented towards the support and organisation of Masterclasses for young musicians and composers, in collaboration with nationally and internationally renowned teachers.
This experience has been and still is a field of lifelong learning. Constant dialogue, the implementation and realisation of numerous initiatives with musicians, teachers and artists, have been the premise and personal stimulus to continue the work of my independent studio. Then, obtaining a Master's Degree in Music Management at the 24Ore Business School in Milan, further deepened and consolidated my skills, allowed me to integrate the work of recent years and continue in the specific collaboration that concerns management.
