Biography

Duo Ebano redefines the boundaries of the traditional repertoire for clarinet and piano with new compositions and multi-genre arrangements. Their research explores the intersections between acoustic and digital sound to highlight the relationship between performer and new technologies. Their recent project “Dear Franz”- a tribute to composer Franz Schubert - reflects the duo's identity with forward-thinking and innovative musical choices, unafraid to rework the boundaries of genre.
The official release of their new CD is scheduled for March 2026.

Marco Danesi on clarinets and Paolo Gorini on keyboards, compositions and arrangements, are the musicians of the Duo Ebano, winners of prestigious awards such as the Storioni Toonzaal Prijs (2017), the Salieri-Zinetti international chamber music competition 1st ex-aequo prize (2018), Dutch Classical Talent Tour, finalist (2019-2020).

The Duo has performed in prestigious national and international venues such as the Teatro Grande, Brescia (2019), New York Chamber Music Festival (2019), Nieuwe Noten project, Gracthenfestival - Gaudeamus - November Music (2021), Salle Cortot, Paris (2021), Italian tour, Verona - Venice - Pisa (2022), Appia Antica Chamber Music Festival, Rome (2023), Sunday Sounds, Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ (2023), Goede rede concerten, Kunstlinie Almere (2023).
